We are delighted to share with you a set of new features and a list of fixes that we have in store for the Sep 2023 official release --- Change here. With the improved quality and enhanced options, you can now experience a better Hospital Information System 8.
The list includes significant new features and fixes that we have been working on for the past few months since our last update, the September 2023 release (8.26.14.32).
We have also made some feature improvements to the Hospital Information System 8.
Before you run the new update, we highly recommend that you take the following steps to get the best result:
1. Please note that it is important to disconnect all workstations from the main server before performing an Exe update. Connected workstations while updating may result in incomplete database structure updates, such as new columns, views, functions, stored procedures, and the like, which can result in more errors.
2. Prepare the database by running the re-index script, especially for those who are still using R25 and the earlier R26 versions (no need for those running the IndexOptimize job). It is also advisable to run the shrinking log files script for those who have huge volumes of database files.
3. For those who have not been updated in a long while, you must first execute all the previously released versions that came after your current version before performing the update to the latest version. This will ensure that you never miss any of the previous structure updates. We can also avoid any time-out expired validation during the update. Please check the table below for your reference.
4. Please be reminded to secure a backup of reports before performing any Report Deployer update. It is mandatory to rename your RDL files every time you modify them (including the name of their views, stored procedures, and functions if these files were also altered). This is to assure users that any modifications made will still be intact after the update.

Enable Editing of Document Date - DX Medical Package
The system user can now enter the document date while posting the Dx medical package.

Newborn May Go Home Clearance Tagging Notification
The system issues an alert when tagging "may go home clearance" in a newborn's account.
1. Required setup:
Search and select newborn account. Click Tag for MGH clearance
2. The system will prompt a validation message: If YES, tagging for clearance will not proceed unless baby room-in is separated from the mother. If NO, proceed with clearance even without separating the mother from baby.
DOH Malasakit Monthly Statistical Report
A new report titled "DOH Malasakit Monthly Statistical Report" is currently accessible within the report manager module.

Reports - Certificate of Confinement - Add Username Parameter
The certificate of confinement was improved with a Username parameter both for standard and custom setup. Client must add username parameter to their existing RDL for Certificate of Confinement Report. If the client is not using the Standard RDL.

Mother Account Discharging Message Prompt
When a mother is ready for discharge, clicking the 'Discharge' button will prompt the system to inquire whether the newborn should remain in the mother's room for care, known as rooming-in for sick infants.

proceed with discharge even without separating the baby from the mother.
Searching Option by a QRCode in IPD, ER and OPD Module
Users of the system can perform patient searches using QR codes across the Emergency Room (ER), Outpatient Department (OPD), and Inpatient Department (IPD) modules.

Cash Receipt Amount Breakdown
Users of the system can now access an official receipt breakdown within the Statement of Account (SOA).

Ancillary Services - Batch Charging of Patient under Corporate Account
This feature is specifically crafted to accommodate the billing of multiple patients within a single corporate account.
1. Pre-requisite setup
2. If the setup is YES, new submodules will be added under Ancillary Services namely
“Batch Post Corporate Medical Package” and “Batch Post Diagnostic MedicalPackage
3. Upon clicking Batch Corporate Charge, a list of patients will be displayed.
4. Choose the Department, followed by selecting Items for batch charging. Please be aware that the displayed price will not be shown, as it will depend on the patient's price scheme and price group, potentially resulting in price variations.
5. "Finalize” button will serve as a posting function.
6. Finish User Authentication to post item charges from the patients.
Animal Bite Treatment Center Record
Within the patient registry's "View Print Reports" feature, there is now a new report available called "Animal Bite Treatment Center Record."

This Feature adds a new function in Project Procurement Management Plan (PPMP) module namely the “Approve” button. This will be an added step in the Annual Procurement Plan (APP). Posted PPMP’s cannot be extracted to APP unless Approved. HOSPITAL MUST BE IMPLEMENTED AS GOVERNMENT HOSPITAL

Cash Receipt - Select all function when reapplying OR when filtering Bill Date No. range and/or Bill date Range

Journal Voucher – Uploading Journal Voucher Entries
This Feature enable to user to create a Journal Voucher using a .CSV File template.

a. Click Generate Template opens the Journal Voucher Template selection which will be the basis of the template. Select a Simple Journal Voucher Template.
b. The windows Excel export window will appear save the template to the desired location (e.g., desktop).
- Edit your .CSV Template to create your desire Journal Voucher.
SAVE YOUR EDITED EXCEL as .CSV FILE. CLOSE THE . CSV FILE BEFORE UPLOADING IN THE SYSTEM.
- Upload the .CSV template. AFTER SEEING THE “Journal Voucher Transactions has successfully uploaded” MESSAGE PROMPT CLICK OK TO CLOSE THE MESSAGE PROMPT.
CLICK REFRESH to REFRESH THE JOURNAL VOUCHER MODULE AND SEE YOUR UPLOAED JOURNAL VOUCHERS.

Report Manager - Manner of Death always set to NA on Death Certificate Report
Fixed the issue when Manner of Death selection always set to ‘NA’ value.

Cash Receipt - setup for cancelation remarks not working
Fixed the issue that the setup for cancelation remarks is not working when system user does not put any character in the remarks field during voiding of payment in cash receipt module.

Fixed the error when Posting Reagent in Ancillary Services.
ER MGH Tagging - Type of Death is Missing/Hidden on ER MGH Tagging
Fixed the Interface error where Type of Death is Missing/Hidden on ER Tag as MGH.
PIS
CF4 – Outcome of Treatment – Incorrect Disposition stamped
Resolved the issue by ensuring that the accurate disposition is stamped in CF4. For Improved and Recovered, it will be determined based on the Admission result.
OUTRIGHT DEDUCTION - GET ECLAIMS STATUS – REFILING RTH CLAIMS
Resolved the problem of including the first uploaded file when there are two or more uploaded documents of the same document type for an RTH claim.
MMS
Purchase Order - Government Setup Price in PO is not equal to PR price upon extraction of Item to PO
Fix the issue wherein the Government Hospital using PPMP and APP. The Price Column of the Purchase Order Details is not same as the Price Column in the Purchase Requisition Details before any edit.
Purchase Requisition - Price is not updating for items transacted in Purchase Requisition Detail in Big Unit
Fix the issue for a Government Implemented client. Where there is a wrong computation in the Total Amount Column in Purchase Requisition Details if the Item selected for Purchase Requisition is in Big Unit.
FMS
Report Manager - Unaudited General Ledgers Report - Error upon double clicking preview tab
Fix the issue wherein upon click of Preview button in Unaudited Ledger Report. The system generates an Error report message due to Double Clicking of the Preview button while the system is not finished generating the result.
Disbursement Module - Error upon Edit of Bank if the Bank has 20 Character check no.
Fix the issue where the system accepts more than 20 Characters in the check no field found in the Banks Tables. Templates. When the FMS Setup and Options “Auto Generate Check Details “is set to YES. Then the user inputs more than 20 characters in check no field for a particular Bank. That results in error on posting or viewing of Check voucher since the check no field in the Check Payments tab allows only 20 characters.
