HS8-086 How to Change Signatories for Radiologist or Medical technologist

This user manual provides clear instructions on enabling the 'Radiologist' or 'Medical Technologist' button when managing examination results in the Examination Upshots interface.
Example: If the user needs to enable the Radiologist button and not the Medical Technologist.


1.      Begin by clicking the designated button in the Transaction to check the item.
2.      Next, locate the item within the 'Items and Services' section.


3.      You can view the item details within 'Items and Services.'
4.      Confirm the Item Category, for instance, in this sample, it is 'LABORATORY EXAM.'
5.      Proceed to 'Item Categories' within the 'Tables and Templates' menu.


6.      Apply a filter to specifically focus on 'Examinations.'
7.      Click on the 'Item Category Description'
8.      Then select 'Edit' to make any necessary adjustments.


9.      In the exam group you can choose if the item category is RAD or LAB.

a.      RAD – If you choose the RAD the Radiologist button will be enabled and the button for Medical technologist will be disabled.
b.      LAB - If you choose the LAB the Medical technologist button will be enabled and the button for Radiologist will be disabled.

10.      Save and Close if you are already done.


Return to the 'Manage Examination' section. In this example, I've already updated the Item Category’s Exam Group to 'RAD.' As a result, you'll notice that the Radiologist button is now active, while the Medical Technologist button remains disabled.
